Payment

We accept VISA and MASTERCARD debit/credit cards. We do not charge a premium for card use. We require the card number, expiry date and the security code (the last 3 digits on the signature strip). NOTE: Card details should be split over two e-mails or more safely sent by telephone or normal mail. Your card details are kept securely and NOT held on any computers.
CHEQUE or POSTAL ORDER: These should be made payable to Phil-Index. Cheques must be in sterling and drawn on a Bank in Great Britain. Sterling Bankers drafts are obviously acceptable.

STANDING CHARGE

Our Standing Charge is added to each despatch. This covers postage, packing and our insurance. (We have no UK subscription charges). Please add it to the total order. The Standing Charges are as follows:

UK & EIRE: £2 if value of stamps under £100. £4 if value £101-£500. £9.50 if value over £500

OVERSEAS (Europe, Australia, Canada, Japan, NZ, USA): £3 if value under £100. Otherwise £9.50 (Insured)

OVERSEAS (All other countries): £4 if value of stamps under £80. Or £9.50 (Insured)

NOTE : We no longer send to South Africa or other countries with unreliable postal service: Enquire if unsure.

BULKY LOTS: If package includes books, collections or bulky cover lots, postage will be added at cheapest rates

DISCOUNT

Please do not ask for discount. There is no discount, (not even to the Philatelic trade). Prices are kept to their barest minimum - approx 40% of SG catalogue prices with a 40p minimum per stamp (with the exception of the various Indo-Chinese Post Offices in China which will be a little more).

GUARANTEE and RETURNS

Any item that does not bring complete satisfaction, or was ordered or sent in error, may be returned within a reasonable time (14 days from receiving the item) for full refund/credit. No reason is necessary. All stamps offered in our stocklists are, in our opinion, genuine in all respects. If a Certificate is required, an extension will be granted in all cases. Payment must be made to us first (fully refundable) but all certification expenses are for the prospective buyer's account, irrespective of the outcome of the certificate(s).
